Royal Golf Riviera is less than 100 metres from the clubhouse at Miraflores Golf Course which is just north of the Riviera del Sol exit on the A7 (the old E15/N340 coast road).
From the UK or anywhere in Europe the closest airport is Malaga. You could also consider flying to Gibraltar which offers regular flights from the UK. This latter options offers a good alternative to Malaga, however, it is a little further away.
The train line at Malaga Airport runs a regular service that is both cheap and efficient. However, the trains only go as far as Fuengirola. Once at Fuengirola you have the choice of heading for the bus station to catch a bus to Riviera del Sol or taking a taxi direct to Royal Golf Riviera.
The easiest way to transfer between Malaga Airport and Royal Golf Riviera is by hiring a car and driving the 30-minute journey yourself. See our “Useful Links” page for links to some of the discount car rental companies available at Malaga.
Directions from Malaga Airport to Riviera del Sol are as follows:
1.) Leave the airport by following the E15 / A7 / N340 to Cadiz and Algerciras. After about 20 kms the road divides into two. One road is the N340 coast road the other is the A7 Autopista (toll road) - AP7.
2.) If you take the right hand lane you will travel on the N340 coast road which will take you through the town of Fuengirola and on to Riviera del Sol.
If you take the toll road you will need to leave at the next exit marked Calahonda. After you have paid your toll (between 1 and 2 Euros) drive down through Calahonda and on to the N340. Once at the N340 take the slip road marked Fuengirola (not Marbella). Riviera del Sol is the next turn off.
